This blog has been my way of sharing how God has used this community to completely transform my life, and also my way of sharing the Good News that God is working miracles in places previously consumed by hopelessness. Today, it is my way of sharing that this chapter of my life is closing.
Three years ago, my local church community changed. I fell in love with a pastor and began supporting him at his church, and once he moved to Boston and we married, we began attending a church closer to our home. While we are still very much a part of the global church, our choice of local church community now excludes us from continuing in the partnership with the Vargas Family. Without a doubt, this has been heartbreaking to accept, BUT - it does not change the fact that God is working and will continue to work in Santa Lucia.
I want to thank everyone who has supported my participation in this mission over the last 10 years. Some of you provided financially every single year - that’s incredible! Your generosity allowed us to provide physical healing, and allowed Luis and Reina to better meet the physical and spiritual needs of their community. I strongly encourage you to continue supporting this mission, even though I am no longer able to participate.
Jonathan and I are already talking about what it would look like to visit Luis and Reina on our own, and I am so excited to see what God has in store for them and for this partnership.
Thank you again for your support over the years, it has meant so so much.
Dios te bendiga,
Magen Price
